Lawrence Honored as NJCAA Division III Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week

The NJCAA announced on Wednesday that Sandhills Community College freshman KeKe Lawrence has been named the NJCAA Division III, Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.

The 5-foot-11 middle hitter, and Lumberton High School graduate, helped the Lady Flyers defeat Lenoir CC, Rockingham CC and Southwest Virginia CC while losing only a single set in the process.

For the week, Lawrence recorded a total of 29 kills on 50 attacks while being credited with 15 solo blocks. She currently ranks seventh in Division III with 24 solo blocks on the season.
