Flyers Sign Lee County Standout McKenzy McDougald
Sandhills Community College Volleyball is excited to announce the signing of McKenzy McDougald, a 6'2" outside hitter/middle blocker from Lee County High School, to the Flyer family.
McDougald brings six years of playing experience, size at the net, and a strong team-first mindset to the 2026 roster. She plans to major in Sports Medicine and will get a jump start on that at SCC.
As a senior at Lee County, McDougald earned Carolina Pines 6A All-Conference honors and was named Second Team All-State by the NC Volleyball Coaches Association, adding to an already strong high school career.
McDougald chose Sandhills because of the coaching staff and team environment, and she is looking forward to building relationships while contributing to the program's success. She takes pride in doing whatever it takes to help her team win and is also interested in joining the Flyers' beach volleyball program.
Flyers Head Coach Alicia Riggan is excited about what McDougald will bring to the front line, noting, "We are so excited to welcome McKenzy McDougald to the Flyer family! McKenzy will be a great addition to our front line, bringing a strong arm swing, quick blocking ability, and a ton of passion for the game. We can't wait to see the impact she'll make this season!"
