Flyers Invitational Continues on Saturday with Lady Flyers Seeking First Win of Beach Volleyball
The Sandhills Community College beach volleyball team was defeated 4-1 by Spartanburg Methodist College and 5-0 by Bob Jones University in doubles play on Friday's first day of the Flyers Invitational.
Representing Coach Alicia Riggan's Lady Flyers in the doubles in both matches were No. 1 Lexi Allen and Camryn Lowe, No. 2 L'Asia Jackson and Kaitlyn Locklear, No. 3 Madi Harris and Abby Quick, No. 4 Mya Mallard and Kayla Sadowski, and No. 5 Keke Lawrence and MacKenzie Swett.
In between those matches the two squads from South Carolina met with Spartanburg Methodist prevailing 3-2 over Bob Jones.
Saturday's tri-matches have the Lady Flyers (0-4) entertaining Bob Jones (4-11) at 10 a.m. and Spartanburg Methodist (5-9) at 2 p.m. Bob Jones and Spartanburg Methodist face each other again at noon.
