Flyers Take on Cutter Creek Intercollegiate

The Sandhills Community College Flyers are set to tee it up today at the 2026 Cutter Creek Intercollegiate, a three-day event hosted by East Carolina University at Cutter Creek Golf Club. Competing against a strong NCAA Division I field, the Flyers will look to carry momentum from an impressive start to their spring season.

Sandhills enters the weekend in good form after capturing a team title at the Visit Milledgeville Invitational earlier this month and following it up with a third-place finish in a competitive 11-team field at their home Stitch Golf Sandhills Flyers Intercollegiate. That early success sets the tone as they step up in competition against programs like East Carolina, Old Dominion, Campbell, and Harvard, among others.

The Flyers will get an early start in Round 1, with tee times beginning at 8:00 a.m. off Hole 1. Leading things off for Sandhills is Robert Reed, paired alongside competitors from Providence and Francis Marion. He'll be followed in nine-minute intervals by Drake Hull, Sebastian Hannisdahl Haug, William Dement, Wyatt Beaver, and Vegas Melen—giving Sandhills a full lineup spread across the opening wave of the morning.

With a deep and balanced lineup, Sandhills will aim to stay steady through the opening round and position themselves near the top of the leaderboard heading into the weekend. Playing against a Division I-heavy field presents both a challenge and an opportunity for the Flyers to measure themselves against top-tier competition and continue building confidence as the postseason approaches.
