Flyers' Sayaun Dent Honored as Region 10 Player of the Week

Sandhills Community College sophomore Sayaun Dent has been named the Men's Region 10 Division III Player of the Week for January 20-26 by a vote of the head coaches.

The media release went onto say,"Sayaun is a 6-4, sophomore, guard from Elizabethtown, NC who attended West Bladen High School. He averaged 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 3.0 assists in his two games played this week. He assisted in leading the Flyers to two conference wins last week over Central Carolina Community College and Oxford College of Emory University."

Dent has helped lead the Flyers to a 4-0 record in Region 10, an overall mark of 20-2 and a tied for second ranking in last week's national poll. He leads the team in scoring (18.2 ppg.) and rebounding (8.3 pg.). He is fourth in the nation in Division III in free throw percentage (89.6) and fifth in most free throws made (112).
